Cold email sequences that stop the moment someone replies.
Followkite sends personalized emails and follow-ups from your own Gmail and domain inboxes. Each contact’s sequence stops by itself when they reply, bounce or unsubscribe, and every reply from every inbox lands in one place.
Works with Gmail, Google Workspace and any SMTP/IMAP mailbox. Microsoft 365 support is not available yet.

What is Followkite?
Followkite is a web app for cold email outreach. You connect the inboxes you already send from, import contacts, and write a short sequence: a first email and a few follow-ups. Followkite sends them at a human pace, personalizes each one, and stops following up with anyone who replies, bounces or unsubscribes.
It is built for founders, agencies and sales teams who run outreach from several inboxes and need replies handled quickly and opt-outs handled correctly, without a separate tool for each.
How does Followkite work?
Four steps: connect your inboxes, import your contacts, write the sequence, then launch and answer replies from the Unibox.
Connect your inboxes
Sign in with Google for Gmail and Google Workspace, or enter the SMTP and IMAP settings of any domain mailbox. Credentials are encrypted.
Import your contacts
Upload a CSV from a spreadsheet or CRM. Columns are matched automatically, duplicates are handled, and every problem row is listed with its line number.
Write the sequence
A first email and up to nine follow-ups, with variables like
{{first_name|there}}. Choose sending days and hours in any time zone, then preview with a real contact and send yourself a test.Launch and reply
Emails go out within each inbox’s daily limit. When someone answers, their follow-ups stop and the reply appears in the Unibox, ready to answer from the same inbox.
Which inboxes can I connect?
Gmail and Google Workspace accounts through Google sign-in, and any domain mailbox that offers SMTP and IMAP, such as Zoho Mail, Hostinger, Namecheap Private Email or a cPanel host.
A campaign can send from several inboxes at once. Each new contact is assigned to the inbox with the most room left today, and all of their follow-ups come from that same inbox so the conversation stays in one thread.
- Gmail and Google WorkspaceGoogle sign-in. Sends through the Gmail API.
- Domain mailboxesSMTP on port 465 or 587 with TLS, IMAP on 993.
- Microsoft 365 and Outlook.comNot supported yet.
What is the Unibox?
The Unibox is one inbox for every connected account. Replies to campaigns, mail from your contacts and everything else arrive there, grouped into conversations, and you reply from the inbox that received each message.
Leads are separated from the rest, automatic replies and bounces have their own views, and a conversation shows your campaign emails and every answer in order.
- Read-only
- Nothing in your mailbox is marked as read, moved or deleted.
- Light storage
- Sender, subject and a short preview are kept. Full messages load from your mailbox when opened.
- Shown as text
- HTML email is displayed as plain text, so tracking images and scripts never load.
- Your choice per inbox
- Limit any inbox to campaign mail only, for mailboxes that also hold personal email.
How does Followkite protect my sender reputation?
By sending at a human pace, honouring every opt-out, removing addresses that bounce, pausing itself when rates go wrong, and never sending the same email twice.
One-click unsubscribe
Every campaign email has an unsubscribe link and the RFC 8058 headers Gmail and Yahoo use for their unsubscribe button.
Bounces handled
When a mail server says a mailbox does not exist, the address goes on your do-not-contact list for good.
Human pacing
A daily limit per inbox, a random gap between emails, and sending only on the days and hours you choose.
No double sends
If Followkite cannot be sure an email arrived, it never resends it automatically. You see it and decide.
Do-not-contact list
Block single addresses or whole domains, such as competitors and existing customers, across every campaign.
Pauses itself when it matters
A campaign or inbox stops on its own when bounces or unsubscribes pass your limit, and the whole workspace stops on spam complaints. One switch pauses everything by hand.
DNS and blocklists watched
Your domain's SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX records are rechecked every day, along with domain blocklists, and you are told when something breaks.
Addresses checked first
Contacts are verified before they are emailed: bad syntax, domains that take no mail, disposable providers, shared mailboxes and likely typos.
How is this different from sending from Gmail myself?
Gmail sends one email at a time. Followkite runs the whole sequence for every contact, across all your inboxes, and keeps track of who replied, bounced or opted out.
| Gmail on its own | Followkite | |
|---|---|---|
| Follow-ups | Written and sent by hand | Sent automatically; stop when they reply |
| Several inboxes | Switch accounts | One campaign across all of them, one inbox for replies |
| Unsubscribes | You keep a list | One-click link, enforced everywhere |
| Bounces | You notice them | Missing mailboxes added to Do not contact |
| Pacing | As fast as you click | Daily limits, random gaps, sending hours |
| Reporting | None | Reply, bounce and unsubscribe rates per campaign and inbox |
Can my team use it together?
Yes. A workspace has owners, admins, managers, members and viewers, so people can write campaigns and answer replies without being able to launch campaigns or change sending settings.
Does it connect to my CRM?
Through signed webhooks: Followkite can send replies, unsubscribes, bounces and finished campaigns to Zapier, Make, your CRM’s inbound webhook or your own code. Direct HubSpot and Slack integrations are not available yet.
Frequently asked questions
What is Followkite?
Followkite is a web app for cold email outreach. It sends personalized email sequences from your own Gmail and domain inboxes, stops each contact’s follow-ups as soon as they reply, bounce or unsubscribe, and collects every reply from every inbox in one place called the Unibox.
Which email accounts does Followkite work with?
Gmail and Google Workspace accounts connect with Google sign-in. Any domain mailbox that offers SMTP and IMAP, such as Zoho Mail, Hostinger, Namecheap Private Email or a cPanel host, connects with its server settings and password. Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com are not supported yet.
Does Followkite stop follow-ups when someone replies?
Yes. When a reply to a campaign arrives in a connected inbox, Followkite stops that contact’s sequence and cancels any follow-up that was waiting to go out. Out-of-office and other automatic replies are recorded but do not stop the sequence.
How does Followkite handle unsubscribes?
Every campaign email carries an unsubscribe link and the one-click unsubscribe headers (RFC 8058) that Gmail and Yahoo use for their unsubscribe button. An unsubscribe is permanent for the whole workspace: no campaign or inbox can email that address again.
Does Followkite read my email?
Only the inboxes you connect, and only to show them in the Unibox and detect replies and bounces. Access is read-only: nothing is marked as read, moved or deleted. Followkite keeps the sender, subject and a short preview; full messages are loaded from your mailbox when you open them. Each inbox can be limited to campaign mail only.
How many emails can I send per day?
You choose a daily limit for each inbox, from 1 to 500, and a minimum and maximum gap between emails. Followkite never exceeds the limit and waits a random time within the gap before each email. New domains should start low and increase slowly.
Does Followkite warm up inboxes?
No. Followkite does not run a warm-up network. It protects your sender reputation by pacing sends, honouring unsubscribes, removing addresses that bounce and pausing everything with one switch if something looks wrong.
Is cold email legal?
It depends on where you and your recipients are; for example CAN-SPAM in the United States and GDPR and PECR in the UK and EU. Followkite adds unsubscribe links, enforces opt-outs and lets you add your postal address to every email, but you are responsible for who you contact. This is not legal advice.
